What We Believe
The Bible is the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God and is completely sufficient for faith and conduct
Mankind is an inherently broken and lost being, spiritually separated from God by willfully sinning against God and unable to restore fellowship with God by any means of his own
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; II Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Born of the Holy Spirit and Mary, a virgin, God and man at the same time, Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5 & 14:10- 30; Hebrews 4:14-15; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; I Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13
At the time Salvation is received, a Believer in Christ is indwelt by the presence of God the Holy Spirit, Who works into that Believer justification, sanctification, and recreation into the image of Christ
Salvation is a free gift from God and can only be received by faith alone in the completed work of God the Son, Who came to earth in human flesh as revealed in the person of Jesus Christ and was born of a virgin, was baptized by John, lived a sinless and miraculous life, was crucified for sinners, was buried, and then was resurrected from the dead on the third day, and is both human and Divine
Water baptism is the representative outward expression of an inward change for the Believer in Christ and is performed in obedience to the command and example of Our Lord Jesus Christ
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a supernatural event performed by God and is initially evidenced by speaking in other tongues and further demonstrated through the operation of the gifts of the holy Spirit
Divine healing of the sick is provided through the atonement of Jesus Christ, though the redemption of our physical bodies is not yet complete
All Believers in Christ are to evangelize the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ will appear again, our Blessed Hope, and take up His people, both the dead and the living, to meet Him in the air and to be with Him forever. Jesus Christ will return to earth and reign victoriously for a thousand years, after which He will pronounce final judgment over those who have rejected Him and eternal blessing in a new Heaven and a new Earth for those who have received Him.
